Focused on UX led initiatives for Providence’s Digital Innovation Group—designing inclusive, human-centered healthcare platforms that served patients and providers across complex, regulated systems.
Summary
Role: UX Design Leader (2015 -2018)
Focus: Healthcare innovation, accessibility, and cross-platform service design
At Providence’s Digital Innovation Group, I brought my UX leadership on cross-platform healthcare tools designed to improve access, clarity, and continuity of care for patients and caregivers. I worked closely with clinicians, engineers, and researchers to develop patient-centered experiences for appointment scheduling, stroke symptom triage, and digital health management across hardware, web and mobile.
This work demanded high empathy and inclusive design thinking—addressing diverse physical, cognitive, and emotional needs, particularly for aging users and underserved communities. I also introduced new UX practices to the org, including patient journey mapping, accessibility reviews, and collaborative prototyping.
My experience here sharpened my ability to translate complexity into clarity and to design systems that serve users through emotional and logistical moments that truly matter.
